It's the Saber.

Review by Chris on 7/22/2014

The first one, I had to do a lot of work to get it to fit. It was really tight & needed a good bit of sanding to not only the inside of the hilt, but also the outside of the blade holder. Once in though, everything lined up well. But, I've done several conversions since & it really depends on the Saber. Some slide right in, while others are too tight. Tim machines these to spec, while MR & Hasbro Mass Produce there Sabers. So my conclusion is, that it's the Sabers that very.

So.. much.. sanding!

I wouldn't recommend this with a Hasbro FX Anakin. The blade holder is far too thick and requires a ton of sanding. If you're doing it by hand, you'll be doing it for days and days. BUT. The kit is still good. I don't know how good it is for the MR Anakin's. All the work is very much worth it and I'm glad this is my first saber project. I just wish the blade holder was a bit (a lot) thinner.

a lot of work needed

To get this to fit in a hasbro hilt you will need to do A LOT of sanding, about a whole days worth. With out the sanding you will have no chance of this fitting. Use 150+ sand paper

Complete Solution

I used this little beauty on a Graflex I was converting that was missing some parts...namely the clamp assembly. It fit very snugly after a little time on the lathe and replaced all the parts I was missing/couldn't fabricate. Topping it off, it's a great blade holder and provides a simple and professional looking method of changing out LEDs if I need to.

Okay

The only thing I wished was that there was an option way to buy a painted version of the emmitter clamp area like the original. But to be fair I didn't really ask.... Don't forget to buy the little screws and gold or copper cap also. Very nice conversion kit!!
