Holds tight, which is important

Review by AB on 10/5/2016

Its tight as others have said. But thats a lot better than being loose. You can sand/file it down a little to get what you need out of it. You are not going to add material likely to make it fit more tightly though, unless maybe you are certified electrical technician. A lot of saber building is improvising and being creative. If you need wires to pass through, there is still room to just drill some wire sized holes i the upper or side sections of the piece. I haven't had any trouble with these in the few sets I've used. So much more time spent cutting spacers/all thread, and getting tiny nuts to thread up than on any modifications to the discs themselves. I won't build without these anymore.

Fits like a glove

I love this chassis set! It holds the nb very tight with zero chance of it coming free in your hilt, and slides perfectly into the hilt without it getting caught on the end of the threads! All around, a perfect item!

Too tight tolerances.

Review by Marco on 8/25/2015

The tolerances on these are too tight for the NB and the inside clearance of the hilt. The battery fits fine but trying to get the NB to fit was so tight it actually knocked loose one of the surface mounted components on the board. Liuckily I'm a certified electronic technician well versed in these kinds of repairs this would have killed my NB board. I took a rat tail file to the inside surfaces where the board goes and it now fits fine. The outside diameter is now the problem. It's so tight in the hilt you can't push the whole thing in there. I plan on taking a belt sander to the OD to give it some play. Also no room for wiring to pass in either direction. Poor design. It will work with modification but not as is.
